The Bureau of Internet & Technology in the New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has a paid, part-time
placement available for a graduate or undergraduate student. We are seeking applications from mature, bright,
responsible, and hardworking students with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Applicants must also be
able to work without supervision, are punctual and are able to manage multiple, time sensitive tasks simultaneously.
The selected student will be assisting the Bureau’s investigators, mediators, and support staff with consumer complaint
intake; fulfilling information requests; and responding to general consumer mail, email and telephone inquiries. They
will be responsible for complaint data entry and bureau database maintenance. The position will also involve occasional
research and case development projects, light filing and other duties are as assigned.
Placement Details
This is a remote placement. On the days the student will be working remotely, they will need to have access to
a reliable computer, a secure internet connection, a phone and a sufficiently quiet and private workspace to
telework.
To be eligible for a paid placement, applicants must be able to demonstrate they are full-time students in
good academic standing as defined by their schools. Applications from students entering their first year of
college or university will not be considered.
Applicants must be available to work up to work between 15-30 hours per week during regular business hours.
Students who are available to work the full academic year (2022 fall semester and 2023 spring semester) are
strongly preferred. Please be advised rehire for an additional term is neither automatic nor guaranteed.
The selected candidate will be hired as a student assistant and paid hourly at either the graduate student rate,
which is $16.54 or the undergraduate student rate, which is $16.24.
U.S. citizenship and NYS residency are not required, but applicants must be eligible to be employed in the U.S.

The College of Dentistry seeks a graduate student research assistant to support statistical analysis using a large, publicly available dataset. The goal is for this project to lead to manuscript preparation and publication.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The person in this position will be responsible for data management, cleaning and analysis. The student will have input to decide how to treat certain variables and outcomes. The general expectation is that the student will contribute in a meaningful way to drafting the methods section of a manuscript, as well as critically appraising the results interpretation. The student will be listed as a co-author on any publications emanating from this project. There are also opportunities to mentor and teach descriptive statistics to undergraduate students working on the project.

We are looking for a Student Account Assistant to join our Student Financial Services team in Financial Operations. The Student Financial Services area invoices, collects payment from, and provides customer service for the more than 50,000 students enrolled at the university's Ann Arbor campus. You will serve an important role as the initial contact for student financial account inquiries.

Review current term error list for Graduate Student Assistant Tuition Waivers and process corrections. Review and adjust prior term waivers as requested by students and University departments.
Review accounts to be collected and update on-line collection list to create system-generated dunning notices (e.g. 1st notice "Urgent" letter, 2nd notice "Final Letter"). Review accounts and determine whether to send to Student Loan Collections for further collection efforts or initiate account write-off.
Review monthly past-due participant payment plans and cancel delinquent plans. Answer questions and advise students or parents on payment plan budgets and policies.
Research and process approved student account refunds.
Review and respond to requests for late payment fee reversals and process late payment fee if appropriate.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Completed your high school education, with a college degree recommended.
One or more years of clerical experience in a business office or university setting

Receives predictive telephone dialer system transfers and handles them within required measures
Maintains clear, concise and accurate documentation of borrower accounts, including all contacts made and received
Maintains current and accurate knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the repayment of student loans, including the consequences of default and the various payment / deferment options available to borrowers
Updates loan status on Loan Tracker
Participates in work group activities to solve problems or improve processes
Complies with all policies and procedures
Analyze, identify and solve problems while using sound judgment. Able to implement solutions to address business issues. Knows who to involve and takes appropriate action
Required to work a mix of day and evening shifts; work schedule is subject to change due to needs of operation
Performs other duties as assigned

High School diploma or GED
1+ year office/business clerical or customer service experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office to include Outlook
Ability to type and talk at the same time and toggle between programs
